All records of your driving licence including any points/disqualifications are now held centrally by DVLA.
The only way to prove that you are eligible to drive is to use the DVLA ‘View or share your driving licence’ service, which allows you to obtain a Check Code. The service is free of charge and allows you to view/share your driving record, check penalty points and disqualifications.
To obtain a Check Code visit https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence and follow the on-line guide. It only takes a couple of minutes to complete and you will normally require your UK Driving Licence number, National Insurance Number and the post code shown on your licence. There other alternative ways of obtaining a Check Code and this can be found on the website.
The Check Code is valid for 21 days and must be produced when you register at the event. This will allow the event organisers to ensure that we meet the legal requirements that our participants are licenced to drive and covered by appropriate insurance.
If you do not hold a UK Driving Licence then please bring your national driving licence with you on the day.
Failure to produce your Check Code may result in you be prevented from taking part in the event.
